Infrared Astronomy Postdoctoral Position at the KASI
Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute (KASI) invites applications for one postdoctoral position for the research of infrared extragalaxies. The position is available from May 2015 and the ing date is negotiable. The period will be two years with possible one year extension upon the performance. The position is 100% responsible for the personal and/or collaborative researches. We are particularly interested in candidates with experiences of data reduction and analysis for the modern infrared space telescopes (e.g., Spitzer, AKARI, WISE, Herschel, and so on), especially for the research of infrared extragalaxies.
The postdoc will have full access to all the resources and facilities in the below. KASI resources and observing facilities include KVN, KaVA, the 14-meter Taeduk radio telescope, the 1.8-meter Bohyunsan optical telescope, the 1.0-meter Mt. Lemmon optical telescope, ALMA through East Asia Region and the JCMT 12-meter telescope through East Asia Observatory.

The successful candidate will be provided with the remuneration (ing from around 35,000,000 Won (?32,000 USD) per annum; the currency conversion rate between US Dollar and Korean Won employed here is 1.00 USD equates 1,100 Korean Won) depending on qualification, research budget and financial supplement for health insurance and national pension, one-way airfare to join KASI (economy class), and dormitory for single person.
