Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute (KASI) invites public tender from eligible bidders for procurement of Gifford-McMahon Cryocooler. The successful bidder shall supply the Goods and services related thereto.

1. Main Scope

 1) Item: Gifford-McMahon 극저온 냉각기 (Gifford-McMahon Cryocooler) / 2set 

  (1) 20K Gifford-McMahon cryocooler system / 1 set 

  (2) 80K Gifford-McMahon cryocooler system / 1 set

 2) Method of Bid: International Competitive Open Tender

 3) Allocated Budget: USD 126,400

 4) Delivery term: EXW (INCOTERMS 2020)

2. Submission of the Bid

 1) Bid Closing Date and Time: 16th May, 2024 15:00 in Korean local time

 2) Bid Documents: Bid Application, Price Proposal, Documents for Specification, Certificate of Manufacturer, a copy of certificate of Business Registration, A document certifying that bidder has paid the bid bond or deposit

 3) Bid Documents shall be submitted by hand-delivery or posted via appropriate courier service to KASI Procurement Team* before the bid closing date and time

3. Matters concerning of deposit

 1) Bid Bond: Bidder shall establish a bid bond in favor of KASI before the bid closing date and time. The total amount of the bid bond shall be at least 5 percent(5%) of total bid price

 2) Performance bond: Bidder shall establish a performance bond  in the amount not less than ten percent(10%) of the contract value in favor of KASI. It shall be in the form of a surety bond or cash or an irrevocable standby letter of credit or bank guarantee by first class international bank or other means of guarantee acceptable to KASI. 

 3) Liquidated Damages (Late Delivery): In case of shipment is not completed until the end of the contract, penalty money should be deducted from the contract amount as a liquidated damage in the amount of 0.075% of the total value for each day.

4. The bidding and subsequent contract shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
