KASI-Yonsei Postdoctoral Positions (2026)
The Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute (KASI) and Yonsei University invite applications for postdoctoral research associates. The positions are initially for 2 years and could be renewed for another two years based on the mid-term evaluation. Qualified applicants are those who earned their Ph.D. within the past 7 years (starting date is within 7 years of receiving their Ph.D.) or those who will obtain their Ph.D. before the appointment date. The postdoctoral offices will be mainly on the Seoul campus of Yonsei University.
We welcome applicants from areas of radio astronomy, with particular preference given to those engaged in research on galaxies, active galactic nuclei (AGN), and supermassive black holes (SMBH), etc. Candidates with experience or expertise in radio interferometer or very long baseline interferometry (VLBI) are especially encouraged to apply.
Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. The pay grade will be determined based on experience and performance. An appropriate research fund is available for travel, publication fee, and equipment. Korean applicants must have completed mandatory military service or received an exemption, and must be eligible to travel abroad.
