We are pleased to announce the workshop “Multi-Frequency VLBI Studies of AGN Core-shift Effect”. Measuring the effect of frequency-dependent core-shifts of AGNs using the Very Long baseline Interferometer (VLBI) at multi-frequencies provides a unique tool to study conditions at the central regions of AGNs.
This two-day workshop aims to review theoretical perspectives and observational results about the AGN core-shift effect, and to discuss these issues and share the views including possible collaboration. Topics include: physical properties of jet opacity, VLBI astrometry, Radio-Optical reference frame and multi-frequency VLBI system. This workshop will feature invited/contributed talks and discussions.
