Recent advancements in high-precision optical systems and space exploration have opened unprecedented opportunity windows in astronomy and astrophysics. This summary provides an overview of NSF’s National Optical-Infrared Astronomy Research Laboratory (NOIRLab) and its high-precision optical system programs. It includes technical aspects on trade studies and parametric design procedures used to enhance the optical quality of large-scale systems. Additionally, it highlights essential enabling technologies for next-generation optical systems, including simulation modeling techniques, advanced materials, high-performance computing, and AI-supported data reduction. Furthermore, I will briefly address key strategic initiatives or preparations, aiming for: - Strategic planning for KASI's Next-Generation Telescope Program - Strengthening international collaborations, including the KASI-Gemini/NOIRLab partnership - Development strategies for advanced materials and technologies - Technical implementation and delivery of the Near Space Optical Survey (NSOS) Programs - Preparations of a Large Telescope Technology Development strategy To realize these ambitious programs, schematic technology acquisition strategies will also be discussed.
